I’ve lived the struggle and come out the other side. Now I use my story to help others find hope, build self-worth, and believe that change is always possible.

About Johnny Reidy

My Story

My name is Johnny Reidy, and for many years I was lost—caught in a cycle of crime, violence, and addiction. But that’s not where my story ends.

I grew up battling severe dyslexia, which left me feeling isolated and ashamed from an early age. I wasn’t a bad kid. In fact, I came from a good, hard-working family. But low self-esteem and a lack of support pushed me down a path of crime that escalated fast—from fights in my teens to armed robberies, gang violence, and serious prison time.

At 21, I was deep into a world of chaos. I was involved in violent feuds, shot, addicted to heroin and crack, and eventually lost the use of my legs due to a spinal infection. I hit rock bottom—mentally, physically, and emotionally.

But I fought my way back.

I started to rebuild my life through community, recovery programs, fitness, mindfulness, and a hunger to understand myself. Over time, I developed the tools to transform my life, and now I help others find their own path to change.

Today, I speak to young people, inmates, professionals, and anyone stuck in cycles they want to break. I offer real talk, lived wisdom, and practical tools—because I know change is possible.
