EMPOWERING CHANGE THROUGH
REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE

Johnny Reidy shares his powerful journey of transformation from a life of crime and addiction to one of purpose, growth, and impact. Through raw honesty and lived experience, Johnny speaks to schools, prisons, businesses and communities to inspire real change.

Companies and Partners I’ve Proudly Worked With

I’ve had the privilege of working with a range of organisations that are committed to making a real difference whether through employee wellbeing, community outreach, or social impact initiatives. Together, we’ve delivered powerful sessions that inspire change, build resilience, and promote meaningful conversations in the workplace and beyond.

About Johnny

My Story

My name is Johnny Reidy, and for many years I was lost caught in a cycle of crime, violence, and addiction. But that’s not where my story ends.

I grew up battling severe dyslexia, which left me feeling isolated and ashamed from an early age. I wasn’t a bad kid. In fact, I came from a good, hard-working family. But low self-esteem and a lack of support pushed me down a path of crime that escalated fast—from fights in my teens to armed robberies, gang violence, and serious prison time.

Mission
and Purpose

I’m not here to preach. I’m here to show that real change is possible, no matter how far gone you feel.

My mission is simple:

  • Empowering Readiness for Change

"To give people the tools they’ll need when they’re ready for change."

  • Fostering Inner Strength and Purpose

"To help others build self-worth, purpose, and mental resilience."

  • Reaching the Underserved and Unseen

"To reach the people who need it most."

  • Sparking Transformative Conversations

"To engage people in honest conversations that lead to better life choices."

Testimonial

What They Say

I first met Jonny over 40 years ago while serving a prison sentence in a young offenders' institution. Decades later, through my recovery programme from alcohol and drug addiction, our paths crossed again — but this time, we were both clean and sober after years of struggle. Now, we use our lived experience to educate and inspire others, showing the real consequences of addiction. I truly believe that first-hand experience is far more valuable than anything you can learn online. We offer hope to those still battling addiction — living proof that there is life after it — and Jonny is a real asset to society.
Paul Hannaford
Community & School Speaker
Johnny came to Build School of Construction to give a talk to our young students on drug and alcohol awareness. The session was very well received, and we had excellent feedback from both students and staff. His honest, engaging approach really made an impact, and we would definitely welcome him back again in the future.
